Likely causes, most useful checks first
- The video cable is connected but the separate touch-data path is missing.
- The USB touch cable is paired with a different video input.
- A hub, wall plate or extender is interrupting USB data.
- Windows has not detected the USB touch device.
Safe checks
Confirm the symptom
Check that the Windows picture is visible and that touch still works in the panel's own menus or Android interface.
What the result means: If panel-local touch also fails, stop treating this as an external-source cabling problem and request service.
Check the USB touch-data cable
A video connection alone does not normally carry touch data. Confirm that the panel's touch USB connection is also connected to the computer.
What the result means: Reconnect only external, labelled ports. Do not open the panel.
Match the touch port to the selected input
Use the input and touch-port pairing shown in the official guide for the exact RP04 model.
What the result means: If the pairing was wrong, select the correct input or labelled touch port and retest.
Test a direct path
Temporarily bypass a dock, hub, wall plate or USB extender with a known-good direct cable.
What the result means: If direct connection works, the fault is in the external signal path rather than the display.
